Breath Day – September 1, 2018

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them …  ~ Genesis 1:27 (NIV)

When you look in the mirror, what do you see?  Many times our eyes are drawn to what we view as a flaw. We find it easy to spot what we don’t like about ourselves even when we believe in the God who has “fearfully and wonderfully” made us.

What if the what were switched with the who? Who do you see?  Who you see has much more value than what you see.  Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and the Creator who said, upon creating us, “it was very good.”  It is in His image we are made, and He is well-pleased.  It is by His design we are fashioned, and this world is void of anything that can improve upon His masterpiece.

See and behold … for you are beautiful!

You’re beautiful from head to toe, my dear love, beautiful beyond compare, absolutely flawless.  ~ Song of Solomon 4:7 (MSG)
